Hey Kapil. It’s me again :) I decided to revert my OS to Win 8. I’m done updating my drivers. In windows updates, I can say that almost updates are already installed. Also, I updated my windows store apps. Usually, I encounter a lot of errors but earlier, there’s no interruption and all of them were downloaded and installed. After that, here’s the problem. When I came to Windows Store Home, where the link of Windows 8.1 updated is located, all of the tiles there are not responding. When I click every app, it doesn’t proceed. What could be the possible solutions to my problem? Please help.

^^ Try re-registering Windows Store app using steps mentioned here:

    https://www.kapilarya.com/fix-modern-apps-not-working-after-upgrading-to-windows-8-1

If that doesn’t helps, try creating new user account :)

  • Aly

Actually I don’t have any problems installing my apps. I just can’t click the apps on the windows store home. It was working before I ran the Windows 8.1 compatiblity application.

  • Kapil Arya

^^ Have you tried the suggestions I have previously commented?

  • Aly

Okay. I’ll try it later and I’ll leave a comment here if your suggestions will work :) Thanks again!

Had Netflix take a dump on me again, so I attempted the usual uninstall/re-install only to have error code 0x80070057 pop up, leaving me without Netflix. Not the end of the world, but very annoying. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

  • Kapil Arya

^^ Have you tried Windows App Troubleshooter, if yes, did it found/fix something?

  • Josh

Yes, it said there might be a corrupted cache which it fixed, drivers which needed updating (now updated) and Windows store configuration might be damaged (no idea what to do about this, the troubleshooter didn’t fix it, just noted it.)

  • Kapil Arya

^^ Windows Store configuration might be damaged – re-register the Windows Store app. Use following command in administrative Windows PowerShell:

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

  • Josh

No joy. Tried it, still won’t install. Same error code.

  • Kapil Arya

^^ Try creating a new user account and see if you can install the app on that.
