We all know that Facebook is now enjoyable with lovely timeline feature. The timeline manages our profile in a professional way and looks nice. It has a middle line, having spots according to the life events.

Many people tried this feature and liked at first sight. While there are those people also who hated it. Now they are searching here and there to kill this foul feature. Actually there is no permanent fix available till now for deactivating timeline. According to latest rumors, timeline will become default for each profile from 30 Sep. 2012 onwards.

Now the question arises that how to get rid of timeline on your profile so that Facebook becomes more interesting for you again?

Don’t worry!! In this article we’re sharing the trick to disable the Facebook timeline on Google Chrome. This is possible via the recently released “TimelineRemove” extension available from Chrome Web Store.

See the image above, we have taken the two screenshots from the same profile on same time. Now there are following conditions:

• The extension disables timeline on your browser only (note it)

• The extension will disable timeline from all profiles (which are using timeline) that you’ll browse on your browser

• Your friends will still see the timeline on your profile

So if the timeline looks so ugly to you, installing and using this extension is the safest bet. This extension is available currently for Google Chrome only. We’ll update this article when the extension is released for Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer or any other browser.

PS: Trick for Mozilla Firefox:

• Click Firefox orange button, then click on Add-ons.

• Now click on Get Add-ons in the left pane. In the right-top of screen, type user agent switcher and search for it.

• From the search results, find User Agent Switcher 0.7.3 and install this add-on. Restart Firefox.

• Start Firefox, press Alt key. Click Tools -> Default user agent -> Internet Explorer.

• Finally select the Internet Explorer 7 here. That’s it. Now go to any profile having timeline, it should be available in classic view.

   Edit — Preferences — Show develop menu

   Now click Develop — User Agent — Internet Explorer 7.0

   Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

   But it is not recommended because there is extra white space between name and wall contents which is irremovable. That’s why I have not included that tip in this article.

   Yet another hack for chrome… Press CTRL+SHIFT+I, click settings icon. Now choose user agent Internet Explorer 7. Reload and go :::++++
