Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.

Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

^^ Sorry if that didn’t worked. Firstly try to fix Windows Update issues using the fixes provided in following article:

    http://www.kapilarya.com/fix-error-80070570-windows-update-encountered-an-unknown-error-some-updates-were-not-installed

And then try the SFC command again. It should work fine :)

Ok so I said the command prompt and the last thing it said was that the verification process was 100% complete. It didn’t give me any results though. I restarted anyways, did I mess up? I waited over 10 mins after it was done to make sure it was done and nothing happened, not even fan speed changes. Should i have been told if it found something wrong? And since i restarted afterwards, did it possibly get fixed even without telling me if something was wrong or not?

^^ Let the scan complete itself. If it found any corrupted files, it will repair them. The scan time depends upon the corrupted files on the system. So retry the commands again, if it found and repair any corruption, it will notify you like the message “Windows Resource Protection didn’t found any integrity violations” for no corruption.
