Cannot add work or school account in Windows 11
Fix 1: Using Services snap-in
Open the Services snap-in by running services.msc command.
Once the Services window is opened, scroll down and locate Microsoft Account sign-in Assistant Service.
Right click on this service and select Properties.
On the proper sheet switch to General tab, and make sure that Startup type is set to Automatic.
Click on the Start button to make sure that the service is running.
Fix 2: Using Settings
Right click on the Start button and select Settings.
When the Settings app opens, go to Accounts then Access work or school.
Now when you are on the Access work or school page, click on the Connect button.
Next a Microsoft account window will appear. In this window do not type the email address directly for your work or school account.
Instead you can click on the link saying Join this device to Microsoft Entra ID.
Fix 3: Using Group Policy
Right click on the Start button and select Run.
In Run window, type gpedit.msc and click OK.
In the Local Group Policy Editor window, navigate to following location:
Computer configuration > Administrative templates > System > Logon
Locate the policy setting named Do not enumerate connected users on domain-joined computers. Set this policy to Disabled.
Then locate the next policy in the same folder named as Enumerate local users on domain joined computers. Set it to Enabled.
Now close the Local Group Policy Editor and restart your system to make the changes effective.
