In Windows 11, there are many new possibilities available to explore. Especially, if you like to customize things, Windows 11 provides you variety of options to do so. The Start Menu in Windows 11 is great center of attraction as well as equally important to manage system. The more you can customize Start Menu, it will the system more usable for you. Now in this article, we’ll see how to add system folders on Start Menu in Windows 11.

As you can see in the screenshot mentioned below, there are some system folders pinned next to power icon. These are not there by default, but you can add them if you like and we’ll see how-to part in this post.

Here’s how you can add system folders to Start in Windows 11.

1. Press Windows Key + X keys and select Settings.

2. In the Settings app, go to Personalization > Start.

3. In the right pane, you will find a Folders named entry as highlighted in the below screenshot. Below that entry, you will find a line mentioned ‘These folders appear on the Start next to the Power button’. So click on it.

4. In the next screen, you will find options for different system folders. The options you turned On here, will be added immediately next to power button in the Start Menu. Following are the options available at the screen, as of current build (22000.65):

  • Settings: Adds Settings app icon
  • File Explorer: Adds File Explorer icon
  • Documents: Adds your Documents folder icon
  • Downloads: Adds your Downloads folder icon
  • Music: Adds your Music folder icon
  • Pictures: Adds your Pictures folder icon
  • Videos: Adds your Videos folder icon
  • Network: Adds Network pane icon to access network devices
  • Personal folder: Adds personal folder entry icon for your username.

Once you are done, you can close the Settings app and return to your work.
