How to disable storing Activity History in Windows 11

Windows 11 contains a list of activities performed on your device; these are called Activity History. These activities may include the list of apps and services used, list of opened files, and the browsed websites. The Activity History is generally stored on the device. Method 1: Using Settings

1. Start by opening Settings App or by pressing Windows key + I.

2. Select Privacy & security from the left side.

3. Click on Activity history on the right side.

Method 2: Using Registry

1. Open run by pressing Windows key + R.

2. Type regedit in the dialog box and press OK.

3. Now, type or paste HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System in Registry Editor and press Enter (refer screenshots for better understanding).

4. Right click on the empty space and click New, followed by selecting DWORD (32- but) value.

5. Now, rename the newly created REG_DWORD as PublishUserActivities.

6. Lastly, you can complete the process by changing the value of PublishUserActivities to 1 and clicking OK, if you wish to disable Activity History.
