Using the USB ports, we connect various devices to our PCs. Availability of multiple USB ports, lets the PC to handle more than one USB device simultaneously. Fix 1: Running Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

If the users are using USB 3.0 port to connect their USB flash drive, then, they can shift to USB 2.0 port. As USB uses too many endpoints, it may cause the error. Hence, simply connecting to USB 2.0 port can solve the problem. The users can also try connecting to a USB hub or external USB hub which may lower the direct power consumption of the USB port and fix the issue.

Outdated or missing USB drivers in the system may also add to the mentioned issue. Hence, updating the USB drivers of the system is another fix that can be adopted by users to fix the issue. Now, let us see the steps to update the drivers-

Step 1- Firstly, open Device Manager.

Step 2- Next, locate the Universal Serial Bus Controller and expand it.

Step 3- Right-click each of the USB drivers. Now, select Properties > Update Driver.

If the above-mentioned fixes are not working, then reinstalling the USB drivers is another way which can solve the issue. The users can try doing it with the following steps-

Step 1- Go to Device Managers. Locate the USB driver with the name host controller under Universal Serial Bus Controller. Thereafter, right-click on it and select uninstall.
