If you’ve been waiting for the next feature update, here is some good news for you. Microsoft has finally rolled out Windows 10 May 2020 Update to end users. This update was previously in Release Preview level of Windows Insider Program. Microsoft already released it on 12 May 2020 to Visual Studio subscribers. Now the update is available to end user via all upgrade channels.

Windows 10 Version 2004

May 2020 Update is released as a part of Semi-Annual Channel (SAC), which aims to release two features updates per-year. This feature update is 10th version upgrade for Windows 10 OS. The previous feature update to Windows 10 was version 1909. Windows 10 Version 2004 or May 2020 Update has final build number 19041.208. Atm, the end of service date for May 2020 Update is December 14, 2021 for all editions.

How to install Windows 10 V 2004

To install Windows 10 V 2004 aka May 2020 Update, simply check for latest updates on your Windows 10. Go to Settings app > Update & Security > Windows Update and there you can check, download and opt to install this upgrade.

Alternatively, you can download Windows 10 V 2004 ISO file and perform upgrade using this ISO file. With ISO file, you can also make bootable USB and perform clean install, if you like. You can also use Media Creation Tool to download and install the update.

Note, if you’re low on disk space, make sure you remove previous version files to gain space on disk, after the upgrade is successfully perform. You should remove those files only post 10 days of upgrade. If you don’t like May 2020 Update, you can downgrade back to your previous version within 10 days.
